We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our sales team, involved in selling and supporting on-line water quality monitoring instrumentation primarily to the municipal water companies in the North of the UK.

Senior Sales Engineer – role and scope:


Working from their home as a base, the territory is: Northern England, Scotland and North Wales. The successful candidate will offer good communication and interpersonal social skills with a view to providing excellent customer care. The ideal candidate that we are looking for someone who would be good in a technical engineering (chemistry or electronics/instrumentation or water quality monitoring background)


The ideal Sales Engineer:


  • Organized with good time management.
  • Self-motivated
  • Previous Sales Experience within the water sector preferred
  • Possess knowledge of on-line water quality monitoring instrumentation and techniques ideal.
  • A scientific / chemical background would be advantageous, although full product specific training will be provided.
  • Candidates will require basic computer literacy and be familiar with Microsoft windows based software.
  • Clean driving license preferred.


Main Duties


Manage existing customer framework contracts for analyser sales within the UK municipal water market sector such that sales targets are achieved.


Generate new business in terms of water quality analyser sales within the UK water/petrochemical/industrial market sectors.


Assist with application and customer support in terms of what is achievable within the instrument/monitor capabilities.


Assist the marketing department with product promotional campaigns.


Enable good communication between the customer/PMA Ltd such that customer analyser sales are fully supported from initial order enquiry through to commissioning and post sales support.
